I Love You

"...So we seem a little young we have fun We're friends we're lovers Who cares about those others Already got fathers and mothers Two can be a crew got plenty to do something to see Look in my eyes baby Believe me I know it sounds old But I love you I love you I love you..." -G. Love & Special Sauce
Ok guys, so I've been bragging about how I was going to party with G. Love and although it didn't happen, I did get to meet him. I just thought you might like to see the picture that has brought my life full circle.
It has been hard getting back into the swing of things. Senior-itis is kicking in and I'm really ready to be done with everything. Unfortunately while ALL of my roomies and our friends are planning a trip to Vegas, I'm planning my summer internships. I'll definitely be working at West Liberty Foods, while helping out with the River Roots Festival in the QCA. Our Homecoming budget proposal is being reviewed today, so we'll find out whether or not I'll be receiving my $3000 stipend. Cross your fingers!! Sadly though, I can't go to Vegas with everyone else. Someone has to bring home the bacon :( I can't feel too bad for myself though, after all my rents are sending me to Madagascar for graduation next December. (again, cross your fingers)
Finals turned out all right...1 A, 2 B's and a C...I'm very happy with the C because it would have been an A if I hadn't missed an 18 point problem. Ok, I told you that finance wasn't my thing.
I've also been chosen to host one of our Distinguished Alums for the 2006 Summer Reunion!! His name is Shanto Iyengar and you can check out his bio at http://www.iowalum.com/daa/2006.html . The awards ceremony for the distinguished alums is by far one of the most interesting events that takes place on campus. You are surrounded by people from Iowa who have done incredible things with their lives. Some day, I want to be one of those people honored at that ceremony. It's absolutely awe-inspiring to hear their stories. I'm really excited!!!
Ok, this has been long and boring. The only reason I really wrote a blog tonight was to show y'all my pics with G. Love!
Smooches!!!
Jen
p.s. Did you know that you have Karaoke on your TV if you have Mediacom?! Let's just say that last night we had a very fun night. Guys vs. Girls...Sweet Home Alabama vs. Feel Like Makin Love respectively...we kicked their butts!!!
