Dancing Queen

"You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low Looking out for the place to go Where they play the right music, getting in the swing You come in to look for a king Anybody could be that guy Night is young and the music’s high With a bit of rock music, everything is fine You’re in the mood for a dance And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen..." -Abba

So last night was Chi O formal 2006...yes, my last senior formal!! oh goodness!! Well I had a fabulous time with Lumberjack Jeff. He was the life of the party. He tried to help the girls who were crying, shook it with the girls who were dancing, drank with the girls who were drinkin...I'm tellin ya, this guy knows how to work a crowd.

There was quite a bit of drama (which is really some of the funniest stuff about being in a sorority). We left late because one of the girl's BF's didn't show up and then as we were leaving a half hour late, one of my roomies (who will remain nameless) and a buddy of ours mooned the senior bus, pretty funny actually. We had to make a pit stop at a gas station, as they told us that we'd be taking charter busses which was not true.

Finally made it to the Lavender Crest Winery in Colona, IL and things went crazy. Boyfriends and girlfriends were fighting and get this, one guy who is currently smooching a girlfriend of mine showed up with another one of our sorority sisters, WHAT?! I know, right?

Needless to say, I had a great time and shook it all night long with the Lumberjack. By the end of the night, even our advisors knew who he was. The DJ's told us that we didn't get as crazy as the Drake sorority girls and I promptly informed them that we are simply a classy bunch.

Talk to y'all soon.

Smooches!!
